June 3-4, 2011:  Etsuji Horii seminar



How to get there.

Aikido Philippines (AP), Pilipinas Aikido Propagation Association (PAPA) and the Filipino Federation of Aikido (FFA) would like to invite all aikidoka to our mid-year seminar, to be taught by Etsuji Horii 7th dan. Horii entered Hombu Dojo in Tokyo in 1985, initially as an uchi-deshi, and eventually became an instructor at Hombu. Hori shihan moved back to his native Kobe in 1996 to establish his own Sanda Dojo. He remains very close to Doshu and Hombu and teaches many international seminars.

Horii is known for his powerful technique. He says: "I have trained at Aikido World Headquarters of Aikikai Foundation for 10 years. I will devote all my strength for research and developement of Aikido as long as I live. I will look back at myself through the lessons, and find out the meaning of the words by the Founder Morihei Ueshiba, 'BU is Love.'" Videos of his waza can be readily found on YouTube. There will be six classes: June 3, 5:00-6:30 pm/ 7:00-8:00 pm, June 4, 9:00 to 10:00 AM/ 10:30 to 12:00 nn/ 3:00 to 4:30 PM/ 5:00 to 6:30 PM. The seminar will be priced at P1,200 for all six sessions, and a mat fee of P200 per session. There is an P800 "early bird" offer for all those who pay before May 1, 2011.
