2012 October 18 19 and 22:  Special classes with Tadashi Komenoi Sensei (6th dan)


Tadashi Komenoi Sensei (6th dan) was the instructor at the Makati Aikido Club from August 1988 to November 1993. He had come to the Philippines as an expat executive with a Japanese company. After his Philippine tour ended, his company sent him to be its country manager in Sri Lanka, where he spent the rest of his career until his retirement in 2012. Komenoi Sensei built a major aikido organization in Sri Lanka, and led the group until his return to Japan at retirement. Today he lives in Tokyo.

He comes to Manila in October 2012 as a special guest at the Makoto Ito seminar celebrating the 20th anniversary of the Aikido Philippines federation. The day before and the day after the Ito seminar, he shall teach two special classes at the Makati Aikido Club. On Thursday, October 18th, he shall teach a special class at the Makati Aikido Club (at MAC's Makati Sports Club dojo). All interested parties from the Philippine aikido and larger martial arts communities are welcome to attend.

The October 19th class will be held at the MAC's Bagtikan dojo, at 6th floor, Doña Guadalupe Building, 7462 Bagtikan Street, San Antonio Village, Makati. The October 22d class will be held at MAC's Makati Sports Club dojo, at L.P.Leviste cor. Gallardo, Salcedo Village, Makati. Unforeseen developments necessitated the change from the original arrangements, which are shown on this page as crossed-out text. As a result of the change, there will be only one special class with Komenoi Sensei - on Thursday, October 18th, at our Makati Sports Club dojo.
