This series of joint monthly practice sessions started in September 2000. The FFA is home to some of the oldest, most experienced Aikido dojos in the Philippines. The FFA is recognized by Japan Aikikai. PRACTITIONERS FROM NON-AFFILIATED DOJOS VERY WELCOME. * Getting there: a) DRIVING: Coming from Makati, take C5, cross Pasig River bridge going north, then take the first U-turn (about 800 mt. after the bridge over Pasig river). Turn right at the first corner you encounter, marked by a traffic light (not working though at the time of this writing). When this road curves sharply to the right, decline to follow the curve and instead turn left into St. Martin Street, which splits Valle Verde 1 and Valle Verde 2 villages and brings you to the ULTRA Stadium. Follow St. Martin St. all the way to the top of the hill, where it intersects Captain Henry P. Javier St. and you will find Valle Verde Country Club on your left-hand side, and ULTRA on your right. You can park along Capt. Javier Street, or in limited slots at the front of VVCC building. (Car-driving travelers coming from Quezon City are also best advised to take C5. Follow pretty much the same directions above, except of course you simply turn right at the aforementioned defunct traffic light.) b) VIA PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION- See the options below: Option 1 (from Shaw) - Take the Pasig-Quiapo Jeep at Shaw Boulevard - Get down at the corner of Oranbo Drive and Shaw Blvd. near the Rizal Provincial Capitol - Walk along Oranbo Drive to Valle Verde Country Club Option 2 (from Shaw) - Take the jeep going to Tanay, Antipolo or Binangonan (corner Shaw Boulevard and Edsa Central Avenue) - Get down at the Department of Education (corner Meralco Avenue and Henry Javier) - Walk along Henry Javier to Valle Verde Country Club Option 3 (from Megamall) - Go to the FX terminal in front of the SM Megamall (Bldg B) - Take the FX which passes through Valle Verde Country Club Option 4 (from Robinsons Galleria) - Walk or take the any jeep going to Meralco Avenue - At Meralco Avenue, take any jeep going to "Crossing" - Get down at the Department of Education (corner Meralco Avenue and Henry Javier) - Walk along Henry Javier to Valle Verde Country Club ********************************************************************************************************** |
