2012 January 07 126th FFA monthly interclub practice + typhoon Sendong fund-raiser

Post-event report: The interclub training on January 7th, the first held this year and the 126th since the series' inception in 2000, raised PhP10,000 for the victims of last December's Typhoon Sendong. FFA's Ian Reyes donated the funds to the Philippine Red Cross. This interclub training/enbukai/fund-raiser was well supported by Aikido Philippines, PAPA, and FFA.

All are cordially invited to our 126th monthly interclub practice on Saturday, 2012 January 07. The venue is the Aikikai Center of the Philippines, Club 650, Libis, Quezon City. Full details are in the attached PDF document.

This will be a truly special event for several reasons.

First, it will be an opportunity for us in the aikido community - irrespective of federation affiliation - to offer financial assistance to our brothers and sisters in Mindanao who continue to suffer from Typhoon Sendong (Washi). Funds raised will be deposited to the Red Cross, "from the Philippine aikido community."

Second, the format event will follow a recent innovation: several instructors will take turns leading the class, and then a demonstration from various clubs will top off the event. However, the featured instructors and demonstration performers will be a different cast of characters from those who instructed and demonstrated at December's interclub practice.

Third, this interclub practice will feature guest instructors from PAPA and Aikido Philippines, as well as their students.
